Flaming Batteries Everywhere!

Dell has recalled 27,000 notebook batteries for fear that they could "burst into flames". The Inspiron and Latitude models of Dell notebooks are affected by the recall, if they were shipped between June 22nd and July 15th to the Americas (North, Central, and South); and if they were shipped between June 22nd and October 4th to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Specific model numbers reported on ZDNet are as follows: Latitude CPiA , CPi R, CPtC , CPtS , CPtV CPxH , CPxJ , and Inspiron 3700 and 3800 computers. Dell says there is a "remote chance" of the battery actually bursting into flames, and there has only been one reported incident. It still seems important though, because if my laptop was on my lap and it burst into flames, that would not be good. Visit Dell for more information.
