Microsoft Completes Office XP SP1

Numerous Windows fan sites are reporting that Microsoft has deemed Golden the first service pack for Office XP. SP1 will be the first major update to Office XP since the suite launched last May, and contain numerous bug fixes and security updates. Product activation changes have also been made to prevent a user from having to reactivate unnecessarily.

Office customers will be able to download the update beginning December 13 from Microsoft's Tools on the Web site. Additionally, a version of Service Pack 1 for administrators wishing to deploy the update network-wide will be made available with Microsoft's Office Resource Kits.
