Dynabook goes all-in on AI with new Portégé X40-M, Tecra A40-M, and Tecra A60-M Windows 11 laptops

Dynabook is back with a trio of new business laptops. These aren’t some wild experiments or overpriced ultrabooks pretending to be workhorses. Actually, the new Portégé X40-M Series 2, along with the Tecra A40-M and Tecra A60-M Series 2, bring practical hardware, solid build quality, and real Copilot integration to people who need to get stuff done.
All three models come powered by Intel’s Core Ultra Series 2 chips, including options like the 225U and 265H. That means you’re getting a wide range of choices depending on whether you value battery life or processing power. You can load them up with as much as 64GB of DDR5 RAM across two slots, and yes, you can upgrade it yourself later. Just make sure you get at least 16GB in dual-channel if you want to tap into the full potential of Intel Arc graphics.
Dynabook Portégé X40-K 14-inch Windows 11 laptop is a beautiful, blue, beast

Dynabook unveiled the Portégé X40-K earlier today, and the laptop is quite impressive. Powered by 12th Gen Intel Core processors (i5 or i7), the notebook can be configured with either Windows 10 or the superior Windows 11. The 53 Wh battery should provide all-day usage, and the 14-inch display will be offered as either a touch or non-touch screen.
If you like the color blue as I do, you will absolutely adore the Portégé X40-K chassis, which is made of a beautiful blue aluminum. The svelte laptop is loaded with useful ports too, such as two USB-C (Thunderbolt 4), two USB-A, Ethernet, and HDMI. It can even be had with an optional Smart Card reader -- an essential slot for many, including those in the military. And yes, you get both a fingerprint reader and IR Webcam for Windows Hello unlocking.
Dynabook's Tecra A40-K And A50-K laptops come with AI features for the modern hybrid worker

Dynabook (formerly Toshiba PC Company) has announced two new laptops in its Tecra range -- the 14" Tecra A40-K and the 15" Tecra A50-K.
Both new laptops are powered by the latest 12th generation Intel Core P-Series 28W processors (up to i7) and come with Windows 11 Pro. They also have AI tools to increase productivity and collaboration within the workplace, including Cortana-enabled dual mics with AI noise reduction, and a face authentication camera with AI-enhanced functionality.
Dynabook Portégé X40L-K is a svelte and powerful 14-inch Windows 11 laptop

Windows laptops aren't particularly fascinating these days -- it can be hard to get excited about them. With that said, Dynabook has a new notebook that should truly get your motor running. Called "Portégé X40L-K," this 14-inch laptop has a dark-blue magnesium chassis, and it is merely 15.9mm thin while weighing just 2.3 pounds.
The Dynabook Portégé X40L-K comes with Windows 11, but Windows 10 remains an option too. It is powered by either a 12th Gen Intel Core or Core vPro processor, and can be configured with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD for storage. The 14-inch 1920x1200 display should pair quad nicely with the Dolby Atmos-compatible quad-speaker system for enjoying media.
Dynabook launches affordable Satellite Pro C40-J and C50-J Windows 11 laptops

You need a laptop, but don't know which to buy. Should you buy a Mac? Meh, those are good computers, but rather pricey -- the new notched screens are very ugly too. Chromebooks can be a great choice -- as long as your needs are fairly meager. Ultimately, many consumers are still wise to go with good ol' Windows. You know what? Windows 11 is shockingly good, so you should have no qualms about getting a computer with Microsoft's latest operating system.
Today, Dynabook (formerly Toshiba) launches not one, but two "Satellite Pro" laptops running Microsoft's excellent Windows 11 Pro. Called "C40-J" and "C50-J," the former has a 14-inch FHD screen, while the latter has a 15.6-inch FHD display. Both are designed with affordability in mind, but despite reasonable pricing, these thin and light laptops do not look like budget machines.
Dynabook unveils latest Tecra A40-J and A50-J Windows 10 laptops

When you need a true professional Windows laptop, I know there are many makes and models to consider, but I urge you to take a look at Dynabook. That company's Tecra line in particular is a well-balanced blend of power, durability, and elegance. These productivity workhorses never disappoint, and in my experience, they last a very long time.
Today, Dynabook unveils its 2021 Tecra A Windows 10 laptops -- the 14-inch Tecra A40-J and 15-inch Tecra A50-J. Other than screen and body size differences, the A40-J can be equipped with a touchscreen while the A50-J cannot. Meanwhile, the A50-J keyboard has a number pad, while the A40-J does not. They both have Wi-Fi 6, dual Thunderbolt 4, dual USB-A, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro SD card reader.
Dynabook E10-S Windows 10 Pro Education laptop is fabulously unremarkable

Sometimes technology can be very exciting. Look, we all love when a sleek and sexy new device -- such as a smartphone or laptop -- is shown off at a keynote. Remember when the original MacBook Air was first revealed? I get chills. And yeah, everyone wants the latest and greatest flashy product. The truth, however, is we don't always need exciting. Sometimes we need affordable and unremarkable products that simply exist to get work done.
The Dynabook E10-S Windows 10 Pro Education laptop is such a product, and you can buy it from the company starting today. The computer is fabulously unremarkable, and yes, that's a good thing. You see, this laptop is designed for schoolwork -- not gaming or other hardcore computing.
Dynabook laptops get 11th generation (Tiger Lake) Intel Core processor updates

Dynabook laptops are great computers, but they don't get the attention they deserve. In-the-know consumers are aware that Dynabook (formerly Toshiba) computers are consistently excellent, but the brand isn't really a household name in the USA -- yet. This should change eventually, as Dynabook continues to put out impressive laptops.
In fact, at CES 2021, Dynabook made quite the big announcement regarding some of its laptops. You see, several of them are getting updated with brand new 11th gen (Tiger Lake) Intel Core processor options. This includes the Portégé X30W-J, Portégé X30L-J, Portégé X40-J, and the Tecra A30-J. These are all premium business-class laptops, but they can, of course, be used by anyone.
Dynabook Portégé X40-J Windows 10 laptop is powered by Intel Tiger Lake

Dynabook may not be a very popular name in the USA, but make no mistake, it is by no means a new manufacturer. Please know that Dynabook has essentially taken over Toshiba's USA laptop business, but the quality and reliability remains. If you are in the market for a premium Windows 10 laptop for home or business, Dynabook is a brand that should be on your list along with companies like Dell or HP.
Today, Dynabook unveils the Portégé X40-J -- a laptop that is powered by Intel Tiger Lake (11th generation Core) processors. It is available with a Core i3-1115G4, i5-1135G7, or i7-1165G7. It can be configured with up to 32GB RAM and up to a 1TB NVMe SSD.
Dynabook Portégé X30W-J and X30L-J are lightweight Intel Tiger Lake laptops

AMD has owned 2020 with its excellent Ryzen mobile processors, but you didn't expect Intel to remain quiet, did you? With its new 11th gen Core processors (also known as Tiger Lake), Intel is looking to battle back quite strongly -- especially with the new Iris Xe graphics.
Today, Dynabook announces two new durable (MIL-STD-810G) Portégé laptops that are powered by these new Intel chips. Called "X30W-J" and "X30L-J," the former is a traditional clam shell, while the latter is a 2-in-1. Both lightweight laptops have 13.3-inch screens and can be configured with either a Core i5-1135G7 or i7-11-65G7 processor. The X30W-J can be had with up to 48GB RAM (wow), while the X30L-J is limited to 32GB. They both have high-end features like Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) too.
Dynabook Portégé X-Series Windows 10 laptops get 10th generation Comet Lake Intel Core processors

Dynabook's Portégé X-Series laptop line is one of my favorites. While they are primarily aimed at business users, they make superb consumer notebooks too. The elegant magnesium alloy bodies feel premium -- it is very pleasing to touch. They also have great keyboards with well-spaced keys, accurate trackpads, beautiful touch screens, and they can be configured with some very cutting-edge specifications too. They even have that classic pointing nub that some folks really love.
Today, the company announces a trio of new models of its thin and light Portégé X-Series Windows 10 laptops that come with bleeding-edge 10th Gen Comet Lake Intel Core processors -- i5-10210U or i7-10510U, depending on configuration. CPU aside, you also get Thunderbolt 3 and Wi-Fi 6 -- two very modern features. In addition, you can choose between 8GB or 16GB of RAM and either a 256GB or 512GB SSD for storage. Best of all, all three laptops are certified as "Secured-core PCs" by Microsoft, meaning they feature enhanced security.
Dynabook unveils thinner, lighter, and faster Tecra A40 Windows 10 laptop

If you need a Windows laptop, there are plenty of great brands from which to choose. Unfortunately, one brand is no longer available -- Toshiba. Thankfully, its notebook computers live on under a new company name -- Dynabook. You know what? As that Shakespeare dude once wrote, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." And yeah, the same can be said about Dynabook. Name aside, these are the same computers that many consumers have loved.
The Tecra line of business-class laptops has long been admired by in-the-know consumers, and now, Dynabook has refreshed one of the models. The new 14-inch (1080p) Tecra A40 is still beautiful and powerful, but now it is even thinner and lighter. It is just 19.9 mm thin, and weighs in at only 3.24 pounds. Despite the svelte chassis, the internal battery can last up to 13 hours -- impressive. While it does have a single USB-C port (plus two USB-A ports), there is no Thunderbolt 3 to be found, sadly.
Dynabook Tecra X50-F is a premium 15.6-inch Windows 10 laptop with Thunderbolt 3, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5

Toshiba laptops are wonderful. Well, they used to be at least. You see, Toshiba essentially sold its US laptop business to Sharp, who then renamed it to Dynabook. So, technically, Toshiba laptops no longer exist, but they live on under the Dynabook branding.
Dynabook is marching forward with new laptops, and today, it announces an absolute stunner. Called "Tecra X50-F," the business-class Windows 10 Pro notebook features a 15.6-inch screen in an incredibly thin and light package -- 17.6mm thickness and weighing just 3.13 pounds. The chassis is made of durable magnesium, and it is MIL-STD-810G rated. X50 has very modern features too, such as two Thunderbolt 3 ports and Wi-Fi 6 (also known as 802.11ax). My favorite aspect, however, is the convenient privacy cover for the webcam! Sometimes it's the little things, folks...
