Feedbro is a one-stop reader for RSS, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, more
Feedbro is a versatile feed reading Chrome extension which keeps you up-to-date with RSS/ Atom/ RDF sources, blogs, Twitter, Instagram and more.
The extension is stand-alone, rather than being a front-end for a website, which means there’s no need to sign up, create accounts, log in or anything else.
You don’t have to waste time manually transferring feeds from other readers. either. OMPL support means you can have them imported in just a few seconds.
In Internet Explorer, for example, click File > Import and Export > Export to a file > select Feeds > Next > Export to save existing feeds, then Options > Import… in Feedbro to read them.
Once you’re set up, Feedbro checks your feeds every 30 minutes, by default, displaying the results in its own Chrome tab.
You could stop there, clicking a feed, reading the latest article and scrolling down to browse everything else-- but there are plenty of ways to customize Feedbro’s operations.
There are multiple view modes, for instance. If you don’t want to have to scroll down to view old articles, Feedbro can display a list of headlines, maybe switch to "newspaper mode" with separate panes for each story. You’re able to scan them at a glance and click the one you need.
Feedbro also supports tagging and highlighting individual articles, helping you filter important items and ignore the junk.
This is all powered by a versatile rules engine. When new articles arrive or are read, you can have the engine check their content, author or title for keywords, using plain text or regular expressions, then automatically highlight or hide the article, add a tag, mark it as read, delete it and more.
Feedbro is a free extension for Google Chrome.
