New enterprise collaboration platform uses social network technology
There are lots of business collaboration tools on the market, but a new offering from UK-based Connectik aims to combine productivity features with the ease of use of a social network.
Connectik's newly launched hub allows enterprises to create a social network with their customers, staff and business partners, while also serving as an internal collaboration and productivity tool.
Designed to be a social-first network, Connectik offers engagement features that allow businesses to create groups, publish updates, run polls, distribute messages and analyze engagement data. The collaboration features in the hub also include project administration and productivity monitoring, as well as messaging and file sharing, all with bank-level security.
"This is a significant step for us as we seek to improve the way enterprises cooperate, engage users and maximize productivity," says Hachim Badji, CEO of Connectik. "With the launch of our new hub, we are introducing to our users the flagship features of our platform, bringing together the joy and ease of use of today’s social media networks in a comprehensive package that fully reflects 21st century technological capabilities and communication preferences".
This is the second of three tiers that Connectik is planning to launch as part of its larger system. The hub will operate as the command center for the platform, allowing employees using Connectik to engage with their customer base and collaborate on projects, using a full range of productivity tools embedded in a user-friendly interface within the social network. With the release of the third and final tier, the hub will also allow users to discover new business opportunities and collaborate with external business partners on projects.
Other capabilities within the app include collaborative calendars, task lists, event pages, file storage, market places and payment processing. All of the information in the system, in transit or stored, is protected with industry leading AES encryption. Furthermore, all servers are protected with Website Application Firewall (WAF) as well as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection. Additionally, any access requires multi-factor authentication and is logged based on banking requirements.
