HyperX unveils Cloud Revolver S gaming headset with Dolby Headphone 7.1 USB dongle
Do you game on your PC, bro? Of course you do. With so many great video games available for PC nowadays, it is hard not to get caught up in it. For many titles, wearing a headset can enhance the experience, allowing you to communicate with teammates or opponents.
HyperX is known for producing excellent headsets, and today, it unveils a new variant -- sort of. You see, the company is packaging its existing Cloud Revolver headset with a Dolby Headphone-capable USB sound card dongle / DAC and giving it an "S" moniker.

The company explains that the headset "features unique design driver technology that allows gamers to visualize sounds placed around them at different angles and distances. With three pre-set equalizer settings that separate boost, flat and vocals, each gamer can choose their favorite setting. Gamers will gain a competitive edge in FPS and 3D environment games by hearing opponents’ locations more clearly and accurately than previously attainable".

The HyperX Cloud Revolver S gaming headset goes on sale on March 14, 2017 for $150. This is a reasonable price considering you are getting both a high-quality headset and an easy-to-use USB DAC. Quite frankly, I prefer this to a headset that is USB only, as it can be used with 3.5mm devices too. Heck, the USB dongle can be used with other headsets too.
