How buying an Aquos gets you a Vudu
New video on demand service Vudu has announced that its set-top boxes will be made available for free with the purchase of select Sharp AQUOS LCD TVs.
New video on demand service Vudu, which just one week ago announced it would offer new release movie streamsday and date with DVD releases, has unveiled a special partnership with CE manufacturer Sharp.
From now until January 5, 2008, any consumer who purchases a 42" or larger Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD TV will get a free Vudu set top box and $50 in free download credits from the video subscription service which the company values at $449 USD.
Available with 7 Aquos models starting at $1,799 and going all the way up to $7,999, a click through Vudu's site redirects the customer to sharpdirect.
Sharp's Aquos 46" and 32" models are ranked as two of the top 10 best selling LCD TVs this season, with Sony and Samsung each with more models in the ranking.
