Windows CE Part Four Due

The fourth edition of Microsoft Windows CE for handhelds is set to debut today. This new version, renamed Handheld PC 2000, offers a host of improvements over the two year old Handheld PC Professional OS. Improvements include the addition of Windows Media Player to the OS, and a new browser compatible with Internet Explorer 4, as well as thin-client software. New handhelds featuring the software will hit the shelves next week at a cost of between $500 and $1000 USD.
