Microsoft Cutting Costs and Raising Salaries

In order for Microsoft to keep its top executives and employees from jumping ship, as several have done this year, CEO Steve Ballmer told the company today to begin cutting costs in certain areas of the budget in order to raise the salaries of those employees who could possibly leave. The Wall Street Journal reported that the seven-page memo issued by the CEO also outlined the top seven priorities on the Redmond Campus, which included the Windows operating system and the Windows .Net technologies.
