Lexar Professional USB-C Dual-Slot Reader works with both SD and microSD cards
So, you just took a bunch of photos with your camera and now it is time to transfer the pics to your computer, eh? OK, just remove the storage card from your camera and insert it directly into your computer. What? You can't do that? Oh, that's right -- many computer manufacturers are no longer including integrated card readers these days. Ugh. I guess those photos will be stuck on the card forever, right?
Actually, no. You can simply connect an external card reader to your computer to transfer those photos (or other file types). Today, Lexar launches its latest such reader. Called "Professional USB-C Dual-Slot Reader," it connects with (you guessed it) USB Type-C and is compatible with both SD and microSD cards.
"The Lexar Professional USB-C Dual-Slot Reader works with SD and microSD UHS-II cards and offers creatives fast transfer speeds up to 312MB/s read. It also features a USB-C connector which is reversible for convenient plug-and-play functionality making it perfect for USB-C computers," says Lexar.
The company adds, "Designed with a USB 3.2 Gen1 interface, the Lexar Professional USB-C Dual-Slot Reader is also backwards compatible with USB 3.1 and 2.0 ports to make your creative process more versatile. It is also built with a LED activity light, so you know when the transferring of your content is completed."
The Lexar Professional USB-C Dual-Slot Reader (model # LRW470U-RNHNU) is available immediately, and you can purchase it from Amazon here now. The USB Type-C dongle is priced at $29.99 and comes with a two-year limited warranty. It should work splendidly with Windows, Android, macOS, iPadOS, and desktop Linux (including Chrome OS).
