Cloudflare introduces AI Audit to help websites manage AI access and content usage

Cloudflare has introduced AI Audit, a new set of tools aimed at helping websites manage how artificial intelligence (AI) models access and use their content. AI Audit allows content creators to see how their content is being used by AI models and take steps to control access. Additionally, Cloudflare is working on a pricing feature that will enable creators to set a price for AI companies using their content for model training and retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
Many website owners may not be aware that AI bots are scanning their content frequently, often without the creator’s knowledge or compensation. AI Audit is designed to give control back to content owners, allowing them to block AI bots, access analytics on content usage, and negotiate agreements for the use of their content by AI models.
Microsoft launches GitHub Models, offering 100 million developers easy access to leading AI tools

Microsoft has introduced "GitHub Models," a new platform that enables over 100 million developers to integrate AI into their software projects by providing access to a variety of AI models. This includes popular models like Llama 3.1, GPT-4o, and Mistral Large 2, among others. Developers can explore these models for free through a built-in model playground on GitHub, where they can experiment with different prompts and model parameters.
The integration of GitHub Models into Codespaces and Visual Studio Code aims to simplify the development process, allowing developers to easily transfer what they've learned and experimented with into their own environments. Backed by Azure AI, the platform offers enterprise-grade security, privacy, and availability, which is vital for running AI applications at scale. GitHub Models is also designed to adhere to strict privacy and security standards, ensuring that no data used in the model playground is shared with external parties or used to train the models.
Google unveils Gemma: A new generation of open AI models for responsible development

Today, Google launches Gemma -- a new family of open AI models designed to help developers and researchers build responsible AI applications. Developed by Google DeepMind and other teams across Google, Gemma models are built on the same technology as the Gemini models.
Gemma models are available in two sizes: Gemma 2B and Gemma 7B, each with pre-trained and instruction-tuned variants. Google is also releasing a Responsible Generative AI Toolkit to guide the creation of safer AI applications. The toolkit includes a safety classification methodology, a model debugging tool, and best practices for model builders.
