Amazon announces eight days of deals for the holidays
It's getting to be that time of year when thoughts turn to holiday giving. Amazon has already launched its Black Friday deal site and we've seen Best Buy's answer to that. Now the Amazon attempts to go one better with a special offer.
The online retailer is announcing its eight day holiday special, beginning this Friday November 20th. The company plans to add new deals as often as every five minutes.
There will also be "app only deals", which are available from iOS, Fire OS and Android. Amazon promises 150 lightning deals of hand-picked items that run across the spectrum of variety.
This takes us through Thanksgiving and Black Friday when all sorts of new deals will be available. "Customers can truly sit back and relax with their family and friends this holiday season knowing that they will be notified as soon as the products they’ve had their eye on are about to go on sale", says Steve Shure, Vice President of Amazon Consumer Marketing. "Year after year, more and more customers shop for deals on Amazon from the comfort of their own home, and we continue to make that process even more convenient for them. And with App Only Deals, customers will have plenty of options when it comes to scoring great deals from Amazon".
