Donald Trump (RNC) and Hillary Clinton (DNC) will be broadcast live on YouTube
The 2016 election season is in full force, and the two presumptive nominees -- Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton -- are actively trading insults. It is getting rather ugly, and by the time voting comes around in November, both of them will likely be bruised and broken -- figuratively speaking.
Before anything, however, they both must attend their respective convention -- Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention -- to secure the official nomination. This is a particularly interesting and exciting election, so I am sure many of you will want to watch both the DNC and RNC. If you are a cord-cutter without TV service, or someone on the go, don't panic -- YouTube will be broadcasting both conventions online.
"Just like in 2012, beginning next week, YouTube will again be the official live stream provider of both the Republican National Convention, which starts on Monday, July 18 in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Democratic National Convention, kicking off on July 25 in Philadelphia, Pa. Not only will you be able to watch gavel-to-gavel coverage of the conventions wherever you are, but for the first time, we’ll live stream the conventions in 360 degrees, so you’ll feel what it’s like to be in the center of the action", says Brandon Feldman, YouTube News.
Feldman further says, "in addition, to help provide more information about what's going on at the conventions, some of your favorite YouTube creators are getting involved too. Look out for coverage from The Young Turks, Complex News, Seeker Daily, Ingrid Nilsen, Mark Watson, Julie Borowski and more. These creators, along with other news organizations, will report back to their communities using new tools including mobile live streaming and Jump VR cameras, so you will have nonstop coverage from a variety of perspectives".
While many people have already made a decision as for whom they will vote, many others are still undecided. By watching both conventions, it could help some folks make up their minds. In other words, it is much more than entertainment. I am generally of the opinion that it is best to keep an open mind right up to election day -- there is no telling what can happen between now and then.
