Logitech C922 Pro Stream Webcam is perfect for Twitch gamers and YouTube vloggers
Most (if not all) laptops come with integrated webcams nowadays, and some desktops and all-in-ones have them above the display too. In other words, it is not uncommon to have a web camera built into your PC. With that said, even if you have a webcam, you still may want to buy a better one. Not all integrated webcams are good quality, and if you aren't happy with your current camera, it may be time to upgrade.
Whether you are a Twitch gamer, YouTube vlogger, or just someone that desires high-quality video chat, Logitech's offerings have long been revered by the technology community. Its popular C920 webcam is used by many, and today, it gets an upgrade. The C922 Pro Stream Webcam aims to be the only webcam you will need, and based on the company's history, it should deliver. It can be used with both laptops and desktops.
"Designed to meet the demands of serious streamers everywhere, the C922 Pro Stream makes it easy to produce clear, professional content. You can stream and record video in your choice of sharp, true-to-life 1080p at 30fps (frames per second) or a fluid 720p at 60fps to match the speed of your game. Uploads are fast and smooth thanks to built-in advanced H.264 video compression, freeing up processing power and network bandwidth to keep you in the game while you broadcast", says Logitech.

The famed manufacturer also says, "C922 Pro Stream is the perfect all-in-one choice for streaming. Dual omni-directional noise cancelling microphones capture stereo audio from every angle and the included fully adjustable tabletop tripod lets you record from the most flattering angle for your stream. Automatic low-light correction and premium autofocus through a full HD glass lens adjusts to your movements and environment, so you have a consistent broadcast even in the dim, fluctuating light gamers regularly experience".
The Logitech C922 Pro Stream Webcam is competitively priced at $99 and is available immediately. Before you buy it, you must decide on which "SKU" you will get, as there are two. If you buy the webcam (C922) at BestBuy or Logitech directly, you will get a free tripod and a 3-month license of XSplit in the box. If you buy it at Amazon (C922x) you do not get the tripod, but you do get an additional 3 months of Xsplit, for a total of 6 months.
What is Xsplit? It is Windows-only streaming video software -- perfect for those that want to share video of themselves playing games on Twitch or another platform. If you do not want to do live streaming, or aren't using Microsoft's OS, the BestBuy package would be the smarter buy -- the tripod would serve you better at the same price.
The Logitech C922 Pro Stream Webcam will work on Windows 7 or higher, macOS/OS X 10.9 or higher, Chrome OS, and Android. While Logitech doesn't specifically list conventional Linux-based desktop operating systems, it should work on Ubuntu, Fedora, and more too.
Will you buy it? Tell me in the comments.
