A smarter anti-malware network does a better job of identifying brand-new threats, while the scanning engine features improved detection and removal of "potentially unwanted programs".
An extended whitelisting system now allows using wildcards and even environment variables to exclude folders from scanning.
Notifications have been revised to keep them as quiet and unobtrusive as possible, especially in combination with the program’s vast configurability (you’re able to set the notification position, choose the display time for 6 different notification types, turn 5 of them off entirely and hide them all in Game Mode).
A free Enterprise Console allows managing Emsisoft Anti-Malware protection across local and remote networks from 3 to 500 clients. It’s aimed at business users, with Active Directory and batch scripting support, but the ability to remotely deploy protection and manage software settings could make it useful anywhere.
Emsisoft Anti-Malware 12 and Emsisoft Internet Security 12 are available as 30-day trials for Windows 7 and later.
