Net2Phone Updates V.10 Client - Goes Interactive

Net2Phone version 10, which was launched around a month ago, has now
been updated to support ICQ (Internet conferencing) and full PC-to-PC
Internet Protocol (IP) telephony connections.

The software has been under beta test for several weeks on the firm's
Web site, and Net2Phone says that more than a million Internet
telephony minutes have been clocked up using the package.

Now that the software has officially gone live, the firm says that
more than 500 resellers around the world are offering the new client
software to their users.

For business users, the new Internet telephony client has been
enhanced to work well with most of the firewall systems in operation
on the Internet - a move that Net2Phone says will mean that more
businesses can use Net2Phone's service on their networked systems.

David Greenblatt, Net2Phone's president, said that, by adding new
functions and features to the software, the company hopes to further
voice-enable the Internet, allowing users to tap their PCs as voice
communications devices.

"Our users are now spending more than eight minutes per call using PC-
to-phone - almost double that of traditional long distance. We expect
that the improved quality and ease of use, combined with added
functionality and firewall penetration, will result in more users and
greater usage," he said.

As reported previously, Net2Phone is offering its subscribers free
domestic (i.e. US-bound) PC-to-phone calling between Dec. 25 and
Jan. 1.

The free domestic PC-to-phone call deal is available to both existing
and new customers to Net2Phone.

New users must first download the firm's software from
http://www.net2phone.com and then register the package. Once
registered, the week's free calling starts on Dec. 25 and runs for
one week.
