Intuit Invites Testers for 'Athena' Beta

Intuit is slated to take aim at small and medium sized businesses with an upcoming release of its Track-It! helpdesk software. Track-It! 6.0 was released last April to allow clients to manage and support IT assets following Intuit's acquisition of Blue Ocean Software.

Intuit Information Technology Solutions is seeking testers throughout the fall for the next incarnation of Track-It!, code-named "Athena."

Positioned as a key part of the company's "Right for My Business" strategy, Track-It! is intended to fuse easily into existing IT infrastructure - making companies more efficient and profitable by relieving them of what Intuit deems a time-consuming, manual process.

Some of Track-It!'s capabilities include: taking PC inventory, incident and asset tracking, knowledge base tools, as well as software delivery.

Intuit is looking for active testers to participate in the Athena beta. "This beta test is a structured program with multiple phases and deadlines," the company says on the Athena application page. "Before you continue with this signup form we want to make clear what we expect from you as a tester, and get your commitment to be an active tester."

For more information and to apply for the beta test, visit the Athena sign up page.
