BenQ unveils new EW Series 4K and QHD monitors with enhanced visuals and eye-care technology

Today, BenQ launches a trio of new monitors in its EW Series. The company promises better visuals, built-in speakers, and eye-care tech compared to predecessors.
BenQ says these displays bring an elevated audio-visual experience with HDRi Gen2 Dynamic Contrast Adjustment to boost dark scenes and a wider color gamut. That’s great and all, but let’s be real, folks -- many people are just streaming things like YouTube or Netflix, where compression already messes with image quality. Are these features actually game-changers, or just nice-to-haves?

BenQ launches MOBIUZ EX3415R 34-inch ultrawide curved gaming monitor

There are two curved displays in my home -- a television in my living room and a computer monitor in my office. Both look cool, but truth be told, the curve doesn't make any difference when watching TV. Since I sit far back from the television, the curve doesn't add any benefit. On the computer monitor where I sit much closer, however, the curvature lends to a more immersive experience. I can't recommend curved computer monitors enough -- for both gaming and productivity.
Today, BenQ launches its latest curved monitor. Called "MOBIUZ EX3415R," this 34-inch ultrawide gaming display has a resolution of 3440x1440 and a 144Hz refresh rate. While this monitor should be great for all games, BenQ is particularly focusing on sim-racing; it has a special mode designed specifically for that genre. It even comes with a handy wireless remote control to make changing between modes super easy.
BenQ launches the portable and rugged Android-powered GS2 outdoor projector

Right now, we are in the middle of he pandemic, but also, we are in the middle of summer. And so, people are looking for ways to have fun outdoors while social distancing. For this, some folks are going camping in the woods or spending time in their own backyard.
One thing that has exploded in popularity is using a projector to watch a film outdoors. Today, BenQ launches a beautiful projector that should be perfect for outdoor movie watching -- whether in the woods or in your yard. Called "GS2," it is a portable and rugged Android-powered outdoor projector. The beautiful mini projector is IPX2 rated and features 3 hours of battery life. While it runs Android for media apps (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and more), the version of the operating system is shockingly old -- 6.0 Marshmallow, which was released in 2015!
BenQ launches TH685 HDR 1080P console gaming projector for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and more

If you are a console gamer, you probably have your gaming system hooked up to a TV. After all, this is what most people will connect their PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, or Microsoft Xbox One up to. And for the most part, that make sense. But what if you want a really big screen without breaking the bank? When I say "big," I mean bigger than can be realistically achieved with a TV -- like, say, 150 inches. Well then, a projector is what you will need.
Unfortunately, projectors aren't typically designed for gaming, so there is a good chance you won't have a great experience due to lag. Today, BenQ hopes to change that with the all-new TH685 HDR 1080P console gaming projector. The company promises that the low input lag (8ms response time) will provide a superior console gaming experience compared to other projectors.
BenQ EW3280U 4K HDRi monitor has integrated subwoofer, USB-C, AMD FreeSync, and ePaper mode

For many consumers nowadays, a computer monitor isn't a very exciting purchase. Instead, it is merely a necessity for desktop computer users. While people were once wowed by flat screen displays -- and later, to a lesser extent, curved displays -- these days, there just isn't much innovation.
Today, however, BenQ launches a new monitor that has excellent specs and some unique features. The 32-Inch "EW3280U," as it is called, has an impressive 4K resolution, AMD FreeSync, and HDRi, but that is merely the start of the fun. Believe it or not, it has 2.1 audio. Wait, how can a monitor do 2.1? It has an integrated subwoofer! Cool, eh? For connectivity, you get HDMI and DisplayPort, but also, USB-C. There is even a neat ePaper mode, which provides a more comfortable eBook-reading experience.
BenQ PD2720U DesignVue 27-inch 4K UHD IPS Designer Monitor [Review]

When is a monitor not just a monitor? When it doubles as a Thunderbolt 3 docking station. The latest 27-inch 4K display from BenQ is called "PD2720U," and yes, it essentially has an integrated TB3 dock. In fact, with a single cable, this monitor can charge your laptop, display video, and provide USB ports (USB 3.1 gen 2) for things like mice, keyboards, and more.
Taking things even further, the PD2720U has a second Thunderbolt 3 port for connecting a TB3 device. In other words, you can daisy chain an external GPU, TB3 SSD, or even another display to the computer -- still having just one wire connected to it.
