Philips releases BDM4350UC Brilliance 43-inch 4K Ultra HD LCD display
When buying a computer monitor nowadays, there are many things to consider. While you might think the bigger the better, you would sort of be wrong. For a monstrous display, you also want a high resolution to go with it. A 43-inch monitor with 1080p, for example, would have blurry text and provide a poor overall experience.
Today, Philips releases its all-new Brilliance 43-inch Ultra HD LCD display to the USA market. This 4K monitor should prove wonderful for many things, such as gaming, photography, CAD, and general-use too. Best of all, the price tag is rather reasonable.
"The expansive size of the 43-inch class LCD Display offers users of all kinds a unique experience. Productivity users can compare information more easily, while designers can see detail more clearly and spend less time scrolling in and out for detail vs. overview. Engineers can use the display, which is optimized for top CAD programs, to compare four Full-HD detailed images at the same time. Graphic designers, photographers and videographers receive the highest resolution for the finest details and brilliant on-screen performance, while gamers get precise details and brilliant picture with ultra-fast response times that show images without artifacts", says Philips.
The company further explains, "the new Philips UltraClear 43-inch class 4K Ultra HD LCD Display also features MultiView functionality to enable active dual connect and view so that users can work with multiple devices like PC and laptop side-by-side simultaneously, making complex multi-tasking work a breeze. With the Ultra HD MultiView display, you can now experience a world of connectivity in a comfortable way whether at office or at home".

For $799, you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. Of course, you need to be sure that your desk can accommodate such a large monitor. With that said, you can also wall-mount it with a standard VESA mount.
The USB 3.0 hub is particularly cool, although not unique to this display. If you plan to use the Brilliance 43-inch Ultra HD LCD display with a laptop, for instance, the hub can act as a makeshift dock. In other words, you can leave your mouse, keyboard, and other USB devices connected to the display, and just connect a single cable to your laptop. Very cool.
Where this monitor could really shine is in a dorm room. It is a good size to double as a television -- it has integrated speakers too. Not only can you connect your computer for getting work done, but Xbox One, Roku, Apple TV -- anything that uses HDMI -- for watching videos too. The MultiView technology could allow, for instance, one person to play an Xbox One game on the display, while another types a paper. Nice.
If you want to purchase this attractive display, you can get it on Amazon here. It should be in stock very soon.
