OnePlus 3 now getting OxygenOS 3.2.1 OTA

oneplus_3

This week OnePlus introduced the first update for its OnePlus 3 flagship to add a color-accurate sRGB mode for the display and improve RAM management, among other changes. Within two days, it should have reached all users, but the company pulled it after receiving reports of upgrade issues.

OnePlus says that it has fixed those issues, which are included in the new OxygenOS 3.2.1 OTA update that is now rolling out. That is not all that is new, however, as there are also some "additional improvements" as well. Here is what you need to know.

OnePlus lists the following changes for the latest OnePlus 3 update, version 3.2.1:

  • Fixed some notification issues
  • Addressed SIM recognition issue
  • Enabled sRGB mode in developer options
  • Improved RAM management
  • Improved GPS performance
  • Enhanced audio playback quality
  • Updated custom icon packs
  • Improved camera quality/functionality
  • Fixed some issues in Gallery
  • Implemented latest Google security patches
  • Fixed bugs in Clock/Music apps

When comparing it to the OxygenOS 3.2.0 changelog -- hit the second link in the opening paragraph to read it -- we notice that the only difference is the inclusion of a fix for a SIM recognition issue (listed second in the changelog above).

The update will be released in stages so that OnePlus can spot any issues that arise early on. OnePlus 3 users who are already on OxygenOS 3.2.0 will only have to download an incremental update, while those who are using an older version will get the full package that includes all of the aforementioned fixes.
