EA Seeking Command & Conquer Generals Testers

Electronic Arts is looking for 3,000 gamers to beta test its upcoming multiplayer real-time strategy, Command & Conquer Generals. C&C Generals puts players in control of massive modern armies in a world on the edge of total annihilation.

Five missions will be included in the multiplay test, along with three sides: the United States, China and an underground terror organization. Each side will feature unique war strategies and weapons.

"Multiplay is a critical part of any RTS game and we're really looking forward to hearing from our fans on how to make the experience in Command & Conquer Generals even better," said general manger of EA Pacific, Mark Skaggs. "The team has been working hard, and we're all excited for players to see the innovative multiplay features we've kept under wraps for the past six months."

Sign ups for the test will begin Friday, October 11 at 8am PST and conclude at 11:59pm that evening. Actual beta testing of C&C Generals will start October 25 via the Internet. Minimum system requirements will be posted on the sign up page. The 3,000 selected testers will be chosen at random and the beta is open to all gamers worldwide. For more information and to join the beta, visit the Command & Conquer Generals Web site.
