Transcend unveils the MTE255S PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe SSD

Transcend has launched a new solid state drive that is largely unremarkable. Called “MTE255S,” it features a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface and reaches read speeds of up to 7,400MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,500MB/s. While this performance is hardly the best on the market, it is still quite respectable.
With 1TB and 2TB storage options, the MTE255S comes equipped with a graphene heatsink to assist in cooling.Transcend includes LDPC error correction, though this model sadly lacks a DRAM cache and RAID engine -- something to strongly consider if you need sustained high-speed writes.
Transcend unveils 5600MT/s DDR5 memory

Transcend has unveiled its new series of industrial-grade DDR5 5600 DRAM modules, which will soon be available for purchase here. Aligning with JEDEC standards, these advanced modules are packed with essential features like low power consumption, high speeds, minimal latency, and outstanding durability. They are designed to significantly enhance the capabilities of today's data centers, AI servers, network and communication systems, and more.
At the core of Transcend's DDR5 DRAM modules are major-grade DRAM chips, pushing the speed to an impressive up to 5600 MT/s. The design includes two independent 32-bit channels which substantially broaden the bandwidth, leading to improved memory access efficiency and shorter loading times for users. DDR5's standout feature is its low operating voltage of 1.1V, which is instrumental in cutting down overall power wastage. This feature is further enriched by an on-board power management IC (PMIC) that smartly regulates power distribution, enhancing energy conversion and elevating overall energy efficiency.
Transcend announces MTE250H PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD with aluminum heatsink

Back in October, we told you about the MTE250S -- a PCIe 4.0 M.2 solid state drive from Transcend. While that SSD is fast, it is missing something that many computer users insist upon -- a heatsink. You see, heat can negatively impact both the performance and longevity of an M.2 SSD, and a heatsink can help cool it down. However, some laptops and desktops can't fit an M.2 SSD with a heatsink, so it makes sense not to include such a cooling accessory with every model.
With all of that said, Transcend has now unveiled the MTE250H, which is an all-new SSD. While it is technically a new product, the reality is, it is merely the previously announced MTE250S with a heatsink bolted on. Other than the heatsink, the MTE250S and MTE250H seem to be identical.
Transcend unveils MTE250S PCIe 4.0 SSD

Solid state drives are continually getting faster, with many computers now supporting the PCIe 4.0 standard. Heck, PCIe 5.0 computers are now available. If you have a PCIe 4.0-compatible PC, you will probably want to get such an SSD to maximize your performance. Is it largely for bragging rights and benchmarks? Arguably, yes, but if you can afford it, you might as well go for a PCIe 4.0 drive. After all, the price should not be much more than a PCIe 3.0 SSD.
Transcend has a new M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 solid state drive that is designed for both gamers and enthusiasts. Called "MTE250S," this SSD is extremely fast and comes with a thin graphene heatsink to help with cooling.
Transcend unveils MTE720T PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 2280 SSD

Solid state drives continue to get faster, with many computers now supporting the PCIe 4.0 standard. Hell, PCIe 5.0 computers are now emerging.
Transcend has a new M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD that is intended for industrial applications, but it can absolutely be used in any PC with a compatible M.2 slot. The drive is designed to be both durable and fast -- it can achieve read speeds up to 7,200 MB/s and write speeds up to 6,500 MB/s. Nice!
Transcend launches ESD380C portable SSD

Hey, storage fans! If you get excited by new external solid state drives like I do, then today, you are in for a real treat. Transcend has decided to launch a new USB-C SSD that offers a unique combination of good looks, durability, and speedy performance.
Called "ESD380C," the portable solid state drive features a USB-C port on its body, but it comes with both a USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cable in the box for maximum compatibility. Thanks to its USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface, the SSD can achieve impressive read and write speeds of up to 2,000 MB/s. While the drive features an aluminum body, it is covered in rubber for enhanced durability.
Add 1TB storage to your Apple MacBook Pro (2021) with Transcend JetDrive Lite 330

So, you bought a 2021 MacBook Pro and now you want to upgrade the storage, eh? Unfortunately, the solid state drive is soldered in and cannot be replaced. Sucks to be you! True, you can always plug in a USB flash drive or traditional SD card to increase overall storage capacity, but that is hardly an elegant solution. Hell, the ports can be damaged if the drive or card get hit or snagged.
Thankfully, a product from Transcend will allow you to use the SD card reader to expand your 2021 MacBook Pro's storage without having anything sticking out of the port. Called "JetDrive Lite 330," it is essentially a specially-sized SD card that will sit flush with the side of your MacBook Pro. Best of all, it is offered in a top capacity of 1TB.
Transcend SSD250N is a 2.5-inch SATA solid state drive designed specifically for NAS

If you need to store a lot of... legally obtained media files... such as films and TV shows (piracy is bad, mmkay?), a network attached storage device, or "NAS," is a great way to do so -- especially if it has a built-in Plex server. This is what I use in my home -- some hard drives set up in RAID filled with media that my family enjoys streaming through Plex on Apple TV. For the most part, this works well. There are only two problems -- the hard drives are rather slow and loud. The latter is a major issue, as the NAS is stored in my living room and hearing the drives spin up can be annoying.
I can obviously replace the hard disk drives with solid state drives, although it would mean a decrease in overall capacity. Still, it would be nice to have faster transfer speeds and less noise -- the cooling fan would still whir a bit though. SSDs are not typically ideal for constant reading and writing, however, but a new such drive from Transcend apparently is. Called "SSD250N," it is a 2.5-inch SSD designed specifically for NAS usage. The focus of this drive is reliability and longevity.
Transcend JetFlash 930C flash drive has both USB-A and USB-C connectors

USB flash drives may not be as popular as they were years ago, but they still have their place. For instance, even though I save most of my data to the cloud nowadays, I still depend on flash drives for installing operating systems, such as Windows 10, Ubuntu, Manjaro, and more.
The problem with traditional USB flash drives, however, is many new computers no longer have USB-A ports. And so, they require the use of dongles or adapters. Thankfully, companies are also making USB Type-C flash drives. Even better, today, Transcend unveils a flash drive that has both USB-A and USB-C connectors. Called "JetFlash 930C," it should work with pretty much any computer.
Transcend unveils MTE240S PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD for gamers and content creators

Earlier today, we told you about an all-new NVMe solid state drive from Lexar. That SSD looks quite nice, as it is both fast and affordable. Not to mention, the Lexar brand is synonymous with "high-quality." That company has been cranking out great memory products for many years.
Of course, Lexar is not the only trustworthy maker of SSDs. Along with more-known manufacturers like Samsung are lesser-known companies like Transcend. If you have shopped for storage products lately, you have probably come across Transcend, and yes, that brand can absolutely be trusted too. Today, Transcend launches its latest NVMe SSD. Called "MTE240S," it is designed for both content creators and gamers. With that said, it should be a solid choice for any computer user, really.
