Microsoft releases KB5017389 update for Windows 11 2022 Update


Taking Windows 11 up to build 22621.607, Microsoft has just released the KB5017389 update fixing a huge number of issues that have been uncovered.
For now, the update is only available to Windows Insiders signed up for the Release Preview Channel and running Windows 11 version 22H2. Microsoft has used the update to introduce a range of fixes including addressing Microsoft Store problems, issues with static IP addresses, and solving a problem affecting color modes in Task Manager.
Microsoft releases Windows 11 Build 25206 with changes and fixes


Microsoft began rolling out the Windows 11 2022 Update yesterday, with the promise of yet more cool features to come next month.
For Insiders in the Dev Channel, however, there’s another new build to play around with today -- Build 25206 --and this one includes changes to SMB authentication rate limiter behavior and updates for Dynamic Refresh Rate (DRR).

Wednesdays are a big deal for Windows 11 Insiders in the Dev Channel as that’s when Microsoft typically releases new flights. Beta Insiders also now get to enjoy the mid-week release schedule, and today sees the arrival of twin builds 22621.586 and 22622.586.
In theory, Windows 11 Build 22621.586 is the flight without new features, while 22622.586 is the one with new features, except the main difference between today's two builds is the fixes included in them.

As well as a new Windows 11 build for Insiders on the Dev Channel, Microsoft has today rolled out two new Beta builds.
Build 22622.575 comes with an improvement to File Explorer and a large number of fixes. Build 22621.575 doesn’t have the new features, or all of the changes, but it does still have other fixes.

It’s a Wednesday, so that means a new Windows 11 build for Insiders on the Dev Channel (as well as twin Beta builds).
Build 25179, which is also available in ISO format for clean installs, comes with a good set of changes, improvements, and fixes.

Three weeks ago, Microsoft announced that it would be splitting the Windows 11 Beta Channel into two. The idea behind this is that a group of Windows 11 Insiders in the channel will either receive Build 22622.xxx updates with new features, or Build 22621.xxx updates without them.
