LeBron James Sony PlayStation 5 accessories are uglier than his foot injury

LeBron James is a hell of a basketball player, but damn, the dude cannot design video game gear. Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled some upcoming LeBron James PlayStation 5 accessories, and they are quite unattractive. It can be said that the accessories are uglier than his recent foot injury.

There are two accessories designed by LeBron -- a DualSense wireless controller and a console cover. Both of them have scribbles of crowns and the saying "Nothing is Given, Everything is Earned." Unfortunately, it looks very childish. No disrespect intended to the basketball player, but it looks like something a child with a crayon would create.

Sony debuts two new Signature Series Walkman music players, because your phone isn't good enough

I like to listen to music on the go, especially when running, so I do what I guess most people do -- play songs from my phone. I listen to lossless/spatial audio tracks from Apple Music through my Airpods, and the quality is excellent. Sony thinks it can do better though, and so has introduced two new Premium Signature Series Walkman music players.

The two new devices -- NW–WM1ZM2 and NW-WM1AM2 -- are designed to appeal to the most demanding audiophiles, producing high quality sound that’s "dynamic and transparent". They also come with a premium price tag.

TEAMGROUP releases T-FORCE CARDEA A440 Pro Special 5eries M.2 SSD for PlayStation 5

Is the Sony PlayStation 5 better than the Xbox Series X? Absolutely. It has better exclusive games, a more futuristic design, and quite frankly, a much better name too. I mean, Series X? Microsoft has begun mocking its own ridiculous naming scheme lately.

Thanks to a new firmware update (currently in beta) you can finally expand the PlayStation 5's internal storage too, using an ultra-fast NVMe SSD. And now, TEAMGROUP is releasing a new such M.2 SSD for PlayStation 5. It is called "T-FORCE CARDEA A440 Pro Special 5eries," and no, the word "Series" being stylized with a 5 is not a typo -- it is a clever way to indicate it is designed for the PS5.

Sony removes very important feature from PlayStation 5 video game console

Nowadays, video game consoles aren't just for gaming -- they also serve as media boxes, allowing owners to download or stream TV shows, movies, music, and more. This definitely increases their value, making them important devices for the entire family -- even for those that don't game.

With all of that said, Sony has decided to do something quite shocking, which is likely to upset many owners of both the PlayStation 5 and older PS4. You see, the company is discontinuing the ability to both rent and buy videos from the PlayStation Store. Wow.

Sony pulls bug-riddled Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation store

Cyberpunk 2077

The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 has been one of the most disastrous in recent history. In production for what seems like forever, the game comes from the same stable as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the Polish developer CD Projekt.

The game was eventually launched just over a week ago, and the reception was... well... less than good. A seemingly endless string of bugs -- as well as performance issues on some platforms -- has led to widespread disappointment. Now Sony has taken the extraordinary step of yanking the PlayStation 4 game from its store, and is offering refunds to buyers.

Sony's latest free app lets you use your digital camera as a webcam

Sony has released a new app which makes it possible to use your regular digital camera as a webcam. The app is called Image Edge Webcam and it is only available for Windows 10 -- it's not clear if Sony intends to release a macOS or Linux version as well.

Sony is not the first company to have released software that transforms digital cameras into webcams recently. It is thought that the move is likely a response to the number of people currently working from home, and the shortage of webcams that this has led to.

You can watch today’s big PlayStation 5 reveal live here!

Between the pandemic and widespread police brutality, America is in deep trouble. As usual, however, the USA will ultimately survive and come out stronger as a result. Wisely, Sony decided to delay its big PlayStation 5 game-play reveal during the peak of protesting George Floyd's murder. Obviously, it would have been tone-deaf to discuss video games in the middle of a worldwide movement to fight against racial inequality and police brutality.

While the protests are still happening (racial inequality is arguably a forever-battle), Sony has decided enough time has passed, and it is time to reschedule the big PS5 event. Yes, we will finally get to witness some significant PlayStation 5 game footage later today at 4:00 PM Eastern Time. While not guaranteed to happen, many people are hoping Sony will also reveal the design of the PS5 console. Hey, we have already seen the revolutionary controller.

Gaming has been a hot commodity since the very first computers and consoles debuted and it’s come a long way over the decades. But what gaming platform has sold the most?
